Damned if I die for it afterward. xD His personality is so entirely different when away from his abusers. He's stoic, fearful but rebellious, and quietly seething against his family... (enough that he purposely pissed Dalia off during the 'celebration'.) But with King Barrett, his bethrothed, and the others...he's more gentle, friendly, and nervously subdued but hopeful.
I'm looking forward to hopefully more and maybe the chance to bring down our Father and Dalia someday (if that is Alek's goal. My MC is more then ready to wholly devote themself to their new husband and family and screw those abusive bastards related by blood to him. xD)
If I was the mom, I'd be vengefully cursing my husband and children from the afterlife for treating any baby of mine that way. A mother doesn't give her life for her child only for them to be abused. >8(
I know right?! Even with Adder's treatment of Reina, Dalia somehow manages to be worse than him. The way she happily hands you over to be abused by Astrite with a "They will do, yes?" (and that after I'd been getting along so well with Abrin, too!), made me want to stab her and do the opposite of what she said no matter how often she slapped me.
Personally, I don't like Aleks. But Barrett is such a sweetheart, that if he doesn't want to cancel the marriage or offer me Cal's hand instead, I'll go through with it, purely for his sake.
I would die for Barrett. He's been the perfect daddy-in-law that our MC needs. xD I tend to like the guarded and stoic ones in stories. Or the childhood friend.
Ugh, this is fantastic! Not to repeat what I said in my rating, but getting into even the first chapter feels like beginning an new fantasy/period drama that you just know is going to be amazing, an instant favourite! And I adore all of the customization options and the weight of the choices as well. Awesome work, and I sincerely hope you're as proud of and happy with how it is turning out as I am to read it! :) <3
(I also may not give a crap about Aleksandar at all - yet - but I would happily face a possibly murderous crowd for his father! Back off boys, he's MY dad now!!)
This has become one of my comfort games that I often go back to to replay. May I suggest princes or princet for genderneutral prince/princess terms though? Prin just sounds so... incomplete and unrecognisable. Also in the choosing title, the is/are variable should be tied to pronouns, not the title. Currently it shows like; "They is a prince, He are a prin" etc.

This was definitly one of the best IFs i've ever played, the writing is just so vibrant and beautiful it's the very first time i was able to really feel for the mc, she just went through so much pain and neglect that it made me cry harder every time i play, i just wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to read such a masterpiece for free. I also have a question that have been bugging me lately which is the mc's age at the time of her betrothal ? (i also was curious about the age of the ROs as well)

This is so well written so far! I love the characters, and the complex situation of the MC. I like that a lot of the actions done in the early game traumatic situations don't heavily affect the MC's personality scores, since I'm playing them as autistic (like me) and with the same trauma responses as I do in real life (freeze, dissociate and fawn). So excited for chapter 2! (edited for grammar)
I think I may have encountered a mistake. When picking my pronouns and title I noticed that you can't mix they/them pronouns with princess or prince and likewise with she/her and him/him pronouns with Prin. It results in a grammatical error that makes it hard to read. It would be cool if we could mix titles and pronouns especially for gender queer persons such as myself : )

I love that there are so many options to help dictate the MCs personality, there have been a lot of games where I found myself faced with choices that didn't suit me, as I've always seemed to lean towards the softer MC type. I appreciate that, just like the lovely person below me has said.
I will say I currently have eyes for Mestrn, he intrigued me upon meeting him.

Just wanted to make my appreciation known for the sadsack, soft, shy MC options lol. I know a lot of people like the coldly cunning or more volatile types, so it's always nice to see devs still adding a variety of roleplaying options for everyone.
I like the idea of an MC who quietly did what she was told in order to survive her abusive upbringing, being cautiously (desperately) optimistic about her new situation. So far, it seems like Abrin was her only comfort at home, so I can imagine how leaving that place could give some amount of relief - although only time will tell whether or not this new place will be a chance at a bit of freedom or another cage like the sister said.
I enjoy having more detached options because I cannot fathom how someone who grew up in an environment like the MC is so easily excepting of strangers. I can't wait to see what else you have planned.
this is truly awesome! can't wait for the next update and all LI's are very likeable and there's a trope for everyone. so far i like calix the best but that's just my opinion :). i'd recommend playing this 100% though it is still in development.

Pretty good, I like it. Its short but has good writing, no purple prose and the pacing is quick. Only 1 chapter so far but so far so good.
